Your Responsibilities – The Craft of Your Role:
- You design scalable data architectures that support both structured and unstructured data
- You develop end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to data lakes
- You work closely with ERP and MDM teams to ensure seamless and cohesive data integration
- You are responsible for cloud deployment and management, ideally in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
- You ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with data governance and protection regulations
- You optimize and manage the performance of ETL processes and databases to ensure scalability
- You analyze data patterns and support big data initiatives and machine learning projects
Your Profile – Made of the Right Stuff:
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a data engineering or data architecture role
- Practical experience in the areas of data lakes, governance frameworks, and data migrations
- Profound knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., T-SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experienced in ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Fabric (preferred), AWS or Google Cloud
- Knowledge in big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
- Proficient in data modeling and use of ER diagrams and modeling tools
- Experience with MS Power BI is a plus
- Desirable Bonus: Experience in data migration projects, especially in the context of eCommerce platforms
- You’re an analytical thinker and proactive problem solver
- You communicate clearly, even when explaining complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- You’re a strong team player and enjoy working cross-functionally
- You’re organized and can manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Certifications (optional, but beneficial):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Google Professional Data Engineer
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
